The 1st Annual Tribal Land Staff National Conference was held in 2011, with a gathering of 100 tribal land staff from every region of the country meeting for the first time as a national group in Las Vegas, Nevada. The conference offered training sessions and networking opportunities in an accessible and affordable venue, the Flamingo Las Vegas Casino and Hotel. Drawing on the success of 2011, the ongoing interest from tribal nations and their staff, and the convenience in holding the conference at a familiar site, the 2012 Conference was again held in Las Vegas at the Flamingo. 2012’s event saw a more than 200% increase in attendance over the first conference, with 240 attendees from more than 75 tribes represented. Since the 2012 event, the National Tribal Land Association has formed and taken a leadership role in planning the conferences and other offerings from which tribal nations and their land staff can benefit.  The 3rd Annual Conference was held April 3-4, 2013 with nearly 300 attendees.
