New Book Offers Legal Framework for Native Land Law

Indian Land Tenure Foundation is excited to announce the publication of a new legal treatise, Native Land Law: General Principles of Law Relating to Native Lands and Natural Resources. The book outlines 17 General Principles that create a legal framework of law about Native lands that is fair, workable, and in keeping with American concepts of justice and the rule of law.

Developed in partnership with Indian Law Resource Center and published by Thomson Reuters, the book is a critical tool in preparing legal professionals, educators and tribal leaders for work that promotes this equitable framework. The treatise also provides tools and arguments to understand the field of federal Indian law and represent the interests of Indian nation governments.
